Photographing the Fauna

I was bored today so I decided to take some pictures of the fauna in front of my house in Bagan Lalang. It's true that if you have a hobby like photography you may kill boredom easily. Feast your eyes with these photos taken with a Nikon D700 and the famous Nikkor zoom lens (70-300mm)

Yeah, I know what's in your mind! This is an unlikely place for any fauna to reside. The Majlis Perbandaran Sepang is never sympathetic to the unkempt condition of Tasik Dedap. They take all sorts of cukai but never make any of the residents really happy.

Never mind the MPSepang. As long as the fauna are happy here, I'm happy, too. Look, can you spot the roving family?

These Belibis are good in camouflage. But they will leave soon when their chicks are big enough to look after themselves. They are among the migratory birds that come to Bagan Lalang during the winter season.

I was having breakfast when this elegant Murai or Magpie showed up on the fence.

 and then there was another Murai on the tree nearby ... burung apa?

I just don't believe it! There's an ayam hutan in front of our house. She will be long gone if Abang Atan is around. He he he.

But she fled into the bushes when she heard the camera clicking...

and the shy Wak Wak did the same.

I believe this Crane is from Japan migrating to Bagan Lalang during winter in the northern hemisphere.

 and it took off immediately when it saw me.

 Then settled on top of  the pine tree...

 

and then off it went again.

 This Malaysian Bangau is a very cautious animal.

It flew off  without hesitation when it saw me coming.

This is a Malaysian Hummingbird sipping nectar from the banana flower near the fence.

These Mynas just stole my breakfast!

This one must have lost one of its legs as a punishment for stealing. Padan muka!
